I love this map because rap has had such an influence on so many different cultures in such short amount of time. Especially during the Harlem Renaissance it was so important, and it’s interesting to see on this map how many rappers are from New York.

This map is very interesting because it shows the influence of rap across a whole city. Different areas and boroughs can be influenced by different artists.

This map is really cool, a couple of my personal favorite rappers are from the City and you taught me a couple of new things like (old rappers) who I never heard about and where they’re from

This map is tied with my 2nd favorite map. I really like this map. Tell us the origin of all of the great artists and M.C. of NY. If this map is accurate, we can practically see the neighborhoods each artist is from or grew up in. Many of the neighborhoods are rich with East Coast hip-hop history. You can assume, some of these rappers and M.C.s were influenced by someone from their city at one point in time.
